SPOILERS!!!
We are getting close to understanding what caused Anna’s breakdown. She starts an affair with Danny, the plumber who comes to repair her dishwasher. As soon as she opens the door to him, she feels attracted to him, and in just half an hour they are in each other’s arms. From then on he comes over several days a week and they have sex. Almost nobody notices, but Pandora once finds a box of condoms in her room, and she uses a safety pin to pierce one of them, and Mrs Donaghue comments to Jo that Anna must have serious problems with her plumbing because she has seen a plumber’s van often parked before the house. Danny is married and has two young children, and lately his wife is depressed after her mother died. So he feels neglected, but Anna is not the only one he has had an affair with. One day she opens the door to him, while feeling under the weather, and when Danny sees her looking haggard and less than perfect, he decides that this is the end.
I am curious to know what happens that causes Anna to find herself asking for sanctuary in Jo’s house. I imagine that Chris found out about the affair and kicked her out. The problem is that Anna is not grateful for what Anna and her family are doing for her, quite the opposite. Jo, Georgine and the men are fed up with her. Anna is not humble at all, and she should be honest adn accpet her blame.
